A&B Educational Consultants
At A&B Educational Consultants, we work for both students and their parents, managing their different points of view. Helping students and parents get what they want out of the process requires knowledge, patience and creativity. Those are abilities we have honed during more than 30 years of working with students and their parents.
We also believe strongly in a hands-on, in-person approach with our clients. We help our students the most when we sit across the table and listen to their dreams, their fears and their concerns–and help them sort it all out so that a happy, successful, thriving experience awaits in college!
Getting into college comes with many obstacles and points of confusion. Students and parents have so much wrapped up in this decision-making process, emotionally and financially, that they often find they need help from objective experts who can give them a "map" to follow. The best advisors do more than just provide that map–they act as a hands-on guide, helping all parties make smarter decisions and reduce anxiety.
While no one can guarantee that any student gets into a particular school, a good college consultant will dramatically improve the odds for success. The list of decisions that have to be made goes on and on and can be overwhelming–not only to teenagers but to parents who may have encountered these issues decades earlier when they attended college.
We work for you and we keep your goals in mind at all times.
We work for both the student and his or her parent and understand how to manage through the inevitably different points of view of both students and parents. Helping everyone get what they want out of the process requires knowledge, patience, and creativity. Those are traits we have honed during more than 30 years of working with adolescents and their families.
We feel strongly that a hands-on, in-person approach works best. While we respect the fact that sometimes it is more convenient to stay in contact via phone and email, we have learned that we help our clients most effectively when we sit across the table and listen to their dreams, their fears, and their concerns.
We work in an honest, candid way that is upfront with the student and parent. We carefully explain what to expect and what has to be done in order to improve chances of acceptance.

What our Clients Have to Say
Words cannot express our gratitude over the thoughtfulness oh Steve. We recognize the positive affect your personality has had in helping to mold our son into the kind of young man we had always hoped he would grow up to be.

I was nervous about applying to college, I didn't know where to begin. Steve calmed me down.
Steve helped us at a time when I couldn't even communicate with my own son. I don't know exactly what he did or how he did it, but it did the trick.
The most outstanding quality that I've seen in Steve is his love for adolescent age children and how excited he gets when they succeed. It is truly a gift.
Steve, thank you so much for believing in my daughters.
Coming from a first-generation immigrant family, it is my dream come true to be attending MIT this fall. Thank you Steve for believing in me and helping me every step of the way.
